Domain name without dashes is best option

The dash can make all the difference. I read a post where the they had text like
Superbowls and Superb-Owls and Super-Bowls
or something like that. There were plenty of more amusing ones yet they escape me at the moment.

Matt Cutts of Google has also said that more than 2 dashes in a domain name is a big red warning sign to them and they generally would rank badly.
That said I do own one domain name with 3 dashes, but I wouldn't buy it again if I know what I knew now, so it's just become a test site for me.

Cool share about what Cutts said. I've always tried to avoid dashes. If you are going for a site that is like nottooold, you could find similar domain names like notexactlynew... or something.
