Forum link signatures - Valued or Not?

If it's not valued, why would posters put their links on their sigs? It surely does help, not in the major way, but over all it is:)

Yes google considers signatures and these signature are more beneficial in doing SEO

Forum signature works good if done in the right way, only use those forums which are moderated this kind of links would be very helpful.
