Forum link signatures - Valued or Not?

Hi

Does Google value links from signatures on the various forums anymore. Did they find a way to discount those links?

Forum links and signature links should be ok. They don't contribute much to PR increase, but provide traffic and help your site get crawled more often.

As long as they don't have 'NO FOLLOW' attribute

I believe they are picked up and indexed - sometimes.

It depends what forum they are from, if the topic stays near the top, if there are external links to that specific topic, if you are on page one of replies, and most of all if you are lucky and google happens to notice it!

Personally I think definitely keep doing it, just don't rely on it as your sole SEO strategy!

I think they are just like a normal back links! As long as they are dofollow then it should be ok!

Google Value links from forum still, but it should be first of all dofollow.
You'll see it when you check your backlinks.

Yes Google definitely considered the Forum links but like others said it should be "do-follow"

Links in posts have value, but the signature links? Some value.. but personally I don't think they add the much PR. Same goes for footer links on bottom of every website page. Links in the body content are weighed more heavily.

Definately can't help get you indexed faster but there are other (faster) ways of achieving that same result.

As for valid link juice perhaps borderline - but for a chance at backlinks its worth typing away all weekend (or convincing someone to do it for you) hehehe.

Forum posting is one of the best ways to build back links. Link signature count will be as very little boost for SEO. There are various do follow forums with do follow signatures. Participate in those and we can gain quality backlink
