Hi

While back there was a talk that Yahoo will start using Google's Search Algorithm. Did they ever go thru with this partnership?

Question is why would they?

Loads of cash, perhaps. If Yahoo officially admitted to ask Google to use they algorithms then that would mean Yahoo has lost the SE war, not that there is any ;) Unless it is bit one sided.

From what we hear on the net the Yahoo and Google's main difference still is that Yahoo ranks websites using keyword density and Google still treats back-links as the major factor.

Why would Google help Yahoo? This are simply rumours on the net.

Not sure why you would post this, this is completely false and not even a current rumor. This sort of thing also could not happen without some big announcement, and the search results don't evidence this anyway.

What you may be getting mixed up with is that Yahoo and MICROSOFT, via search engine Bing, have done a deal whereby Yahoo search results will be powered by Bing, and so will the advertising basically. This is 6 month old news though.

Yeah, i agree, i don't think google would help yahoo. Think of it, these two have close competition and there's no way that they would help each other.

I don't think so. I am dead sure that it is nothing but a rumor because still, we not be able to heard such "big bang news" from any authentic channel.
