In the last decade or so, Pay per click (PPC), an Internet advertising model used on websites, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked and the websites make peanuts by stuffing their content with these ugly looking widgets has really lost on its reputation.

These days when I browse internet and everywhere I see those google ads, many times I loose respect for the site.

Unless its a big website offering much of a useful content with highly established popularity and customer base, then I think it has to be site MFA.

Do you think that PPC = MFA?

PPC ads can be useful because they deliver conceptual advertising. Ads such as Adsense, target the users based on the content of the page, therefore they could be very relevant. It's all about how you use them.

If the site content is average or useless, not updated consistently or really worthless and then on top you start stuffing your site pages with PPC ads than that equals MFA and failure.

Hello Guys,

what is this MFA means? I know only adwords. And never give it a try. Because for competing keywords they charge higher. So I better do some optimization for the same. Resulting in free traffic for life time than some click counts that ends when our money goes.

MFA - Made For Ads (or Adsense)

Sites that are made primary for ads, are now being called MFA, another buzz word... not so good one though...

PPC has bad name because of the MFA sites. If used properly it would be valuable addon to a site. Google in the first stages when Adsense came out should have limited the number of ad units per page to 1

Couldn't agree more and Google in their greed have let it run rampant encouraging whomever to jump in and fill the coffers!
