NO FOLLOW links are treated as normal links, but they don't pass pagerank.

The NO FOLLOW attribute should be used in advertising links

Nofollow is still useful but will only help in traffic and not in ranking at all. You will rank because of your backlinks and nofollow backlinks are not seen at all by search engine as nofollow will not be crawled unless they change it to dofollow.

Nofollow tags help us to prevent the passing of page rank through a particular link. It s a red flag showed by us to search engines. If we mark one link as nofollow then SEs wont crawl the link. But We can bring traffic thro these type of nofollow links. So we cant conclude no follow tags are worthless

No follow links doesn't matter. The relevance of the two websites matter..

Its not so, in natural back links some percentage of nofollow back links should be included.

If nofollow links are laying over the web then you would get direct traffic as well.

Actually, I feel that nofollow links are being used as a gauge also to make sure that the number of dofollow links you have are natural. If you target all dofollow links in your link building, it will be very unnatural and google will pick up on it.

Yes, it is also useful from SEO point of view as it would be natural if no follow is included in link building.

In natural link building, nofollow links are also included then it would be natural.

On the other hand you have to keep high percentage of dofollow links say 75% dofollow and 25% nofollow would be great combination.
